Cheap vs expensive car

One question you will ask yourself when you are in the market for a car is what can I afford? Would it make more sense to buy a cheap car that will likely have problems soon or buy a more expensive car that will be more reliable? I believe you should spend the extra money on a good reliable car. Buying a cheaper car will just cause you headaches and you will have to pay for repairs or worse another car. You don’t have to necessarily buy the most expensive brand new car on the market. You can find many reliable used cars at car dealerships. However it’s smart to be wise when you are purchasing something that will be holding you and your family. Being broken down on the side of the road on Christmas Day is not fun. Trust me, I know from experience.

There’s a saying that the cheap will come out expensive meaning you might take the cheaper route but it will end up costing you more in the long run. Dealerships will work with you on financing and help you get in to a good car you can afford. They don’t sell run down lemons. Go to a trusted car dealership and avoid buying from a private seller. You can definitely work with a dealership  and use your car as a down payment if you would like. It can be a painless and fun experience. Test drive a few different cars to see what you are looking for. Make a day of it. Remember that you are making a big and important purchase. Take your time and make sure it’s something that works for you.
