Kernel Seasonings Review!

I really love popcorn. The more butter the better. When I go to the movies its always extra extra butter. When you are at home and you don’t have access to your own butter topping pump, popcorn can get really boring really fast. So when I had the opportunity to try out Kernel Seasonings I was really excited. Kernel Seasonings is a wide variety of popcorn seasonings. It was started in a dorm room at The University of Michigan by a guy who was sick of plain buttered popcorn. Brian Taylor started mixing different seasonings together for his popcorn each night. Soon his fellow classmates were knocking on his door asking for his special spice blends. So, Brian contacted a flavor team with over fifty years experience to help perfect the seasonings. It took two years to tweak the flavors just right. Kernel Seasonings are perfect.
Kernel Seasonings comes in 16 flavors, they are Parmesan and Garlic, White Cheddar, Jalapeno, Salt and Vinegar, Apple Cinnamon, Nacho Cheddar, Chile Lime, Kettle Corn, Butter, Ranch, Sour Cream and Onion, Salt, Caramel, Cajun, Barbeque, and Chocolate Marshmallow. Now just because they are called Kernel Seasonings don’t think they are strictly for just popcorn.

You can use them on other things such as potatoes. Each bottle comes with suggestions of other uses. The Kernel Seasonings website has many recipes using their seasonings. Get this…if you come up with a recipe using Kernel Seasonings and they use it on the website they’ll send you a free full set of Kernel Seasonings! That is definitely something to remember when you are cooking in the kitchen.

Some of the seasonings are salt free too. My best friend’s husband can’t have much salt because of Congestive Heart Failure so I told her about the flavors that are Salt Free. They are Kettle Corn, Apple Cinnamon, and Caramel. You can learn more about the nutrition values and allergen information on the website.

Kernel Seasonings also sells Movie Theater Butter Popping and Topping Oil. You use it to either pop the uncooked kernels or as a delicious topping. A little goes a long way! Kernel Seasonings also sells Popcorn Spritzer that you spray on air popped popcorn to help the seasonings stick. Of course they also sell popcorn kernels and microwave popcorn too.

Something you will quickly learn about me is I love garlic. I also love Parmesan cheese. So it was no big surprise that my favorite flavor is the Parmesan Garlic. It is so delicious. The White Cheddar is great too. I really liked all the flavors I have tried so far. Kernel Seasonings adds a great kick to popcorn and other items with out being too over powering. It is the perfect blend of seasonings. I had my family try some of the flavors. My mom’s favorite is the White Cheddar. My sister and her boyfriend told me how they have wanted to try them as well. They had seen them at the movie theater. So they were both excited to try them. They both really liked them. It was a hit with my entire family. Even my son loved Kernel Seasonings!

Look for Kernel Seasonings at your local movie theater. Mine has them for complimentary use. That would be a great way to try different flavors. If your movie theater doesn’t carry Kernel Seasonings you can always request that they should. You can also purchase Kernel Seasonings on their website including the Movie Theater Butter Popping and Topping Oil and the Popcorn Spritzer and popcorn. I have seen the seasonings at Wal-mart and at Meijer. Blockbuster also carries Kernel Seasonings.

To find retailers near you please visit HERE for your nearest location. If there is not one near you, remember you can purchase them online on the Kernel Seasonings website.
Here is a coupon code for you guys! You can use coupon code Kernel235 to receive a FREE Popcorn Pouch and Popcorn Spritzer with any order you place!

Thank you so much to Kernel Seasonings for giving me the opportunity to try Kernel Seasonings!

Pond’s Superior Clean Challenge

I had the opportunity to take part in the Pond’s Superior Clean Challenge. The idea of the challenge is to try Ponds vs. another well known companies wet facial cloths. It was really interesting because I wasn’t sure of the outcome was going to be. I told my mom about the challenge and I thought it would be fun to have us both try them both out.

My mom decided it would be cool to do a blind test of the facial cloths. So she had me close my eyes and she gave me two facial cloths. This was the first time I saw either so I truly had no idea which was which. I would wipe one half of my face with one facial cloth and the other half with the other one. First I examined them for texture and thickness. Facial cloth A was thinner than facial cloth B. Facial Cloth A didn’t have the little diamonds that made them quilted like facial cloth B. Cloth B was textured and provided exfoliating. I smelled them both I preferred facial cloth A’s smell over facial Cloth B. Facial cloths didn’t smell bad it was just a more aromatic smell.

First I wiped my right side with facial cloth A. Facial cloth A was nice it was refreshing and it made my face feel clean. Then I used facial cloth B on my left side. Facial cloth was nice too it was more refreshing than facial cloth A and my face felt cleaner than facial cloth B. Then it happened…. The right side of my face started burning. It didn’t feel good. It felt horrible. I actually had to use facial cloth B to make it stop burning. So I told my mom I liked facial cloth B so much more than facial cloth A after she shared my experience with me. I asked her which was which and facial cloth A was the leading well known brand and facial cloth B was the Pond’s Wet Cleansing Towelettes.

During my moms test she wiped her face in the same way I did. She prefers the Pond’s facial cloths scent over the other brand. She used it to wipe off her makeup including her mascara. She said that the leading brands facial cloth did a pretty good job. She actually had higher expectations for the one that was the leading one because she has been using that brand for a long time. She was extremely surprised that the Pond’s Wet Cleansing Towelettes worked better. She had to use the Pond’s Wet Cleansing Towelettes to remove the mascara that the leading wet facial cloth left behind. I am sure she will now switch to Pond’s Wet Cleansing Towelettes.

It was a lot of fun to get to try out two different brands and compare them blindly. Most of the time you just have one brand and you just use it. You don’t realize the differences until you have them going “head to head” like I did. I highly recommend trying out different products by comparing them together. I really liked the Pond’s Wet Cleansing Towelettes because they are thicker, softer, and just plain clean better than the leading brand.

Be sure to visit HERE to learn all about Pond’s Superior Clean money back guarantee, find summer beauty tips from fashion and beauty expert Jenn Falik, download coupons and learn all about Pond's.

Thanks so much to Pond’s for giving me the opportunity to participate in the Pond’s Superior Clean Challenge.

Be Thankful!

Today I was on twitter and I saw that a man tweeted about something that a big company did for people in Kenya. I tweeted him back and said how wonderful it was, and he responded with a link with pictures of the trip. I looked at them and my heart sank. The tears started flowing it was so sad. The streets were filled with trash and the people had sores on their feet. The houses were what looked like cardboard shacks. It was devastating to me.

I watch the 700 club a lot so I know what it is like in third world countries. It is so depressing. I find myself not wanting to watch those stories because it is so upsetting.

So I just wanted to remind everyone to be thankful. Be thankful you have a place that keeps you dry when it rains and keeps you warm in the cold. Be thankful for the clean water you drink and bathe in. Be thankful for the food you eat and that you and your family have full bellies. Be thankful that your children can go to the doctor when they are sick even if you don’t have the money to pay for it. You still have the OPTION to go. There are qualified people to take care of us when we are sick. They also can help prevent it. Be thankful for your nice warm bed. Be thankful to your children’s schools and teachers for providing an education for them. Be thankful for all you have.

Sometimes it is hard to focus on what we have vs. what we want. Unfortunately we live in a society where people always want more or better. More Money, More things or Better Cars, Better Electronics or Bigger Houses. Everyone is trying to keep up with the Joneses and trying to have a better status symbol. While you do that you carelessly forget about those little things that sound like no big deal. You know those little things like food, water and shelter? To those people in third world countries we live like KINGS and QUEENS.

Some of them work their fingers to the bone for a week for what we get for minimum wage an hour. Some walk miles for water, not clean water mind you but dirty disease ridden water, it’s wet. Parents are being killed by other people or disease which leaves 12 year old sometimes younger kids to take care of their brothers and sisters because they have no one else to take care of them. There isn’t foster care; there isn’t much help at all. Those children that are now responsible for their siblings, they don’t eat so they can feed the younger kids.

The diseases they get are horrible. They don’t have proper medical care. They don’t have proper protection of the elements. Thousands of people die each day. Sometimes all it takes is $5 dollars worth of medicine to save them and they don’t even have that.

So please remember to BE THANKFUL for what you have vs. what you don’t. After all you have a lot more than some.

Sprout Baby Review-Sprout Foods baby food

I used to help supplement Noah’s diet with occasional baby food. It would help him get extra nutrients and I didn’t have to worry about all the extra stuff that is in table food. It is also something to have on hand if he is sick and doesn’t feel like eating something he has to work at. He is now strictly on table food. Before we stopped the occasional baby food, Noah had the opportunity to try Sprout Foods baby food. Sprout Foods baby food is a gourmet baby food company. Sprout Foods baby food is an organic, shelf stable delicious baby food. It is also gourmet is because Tyler Florence from the Food Network created the prepackaged baby foods. I love to watch Food Network so I immediately recognized the name Tyler Florence. I thought that it was a really cool thing.

The baby food comes in foil resealable packages. The package is big enough to lay flat but not too big that it is too much food for your child. The foil packages are really neat. They are so much safer than glass jars. They also don’t get crushed like the plastic containers. There is a zip top on the actual package so if you don’t use it all you don’t have to worry about accidentally throwing away the lid.

I understand the convenience of the pouch and I really like that. I however didn’t really care for having to put it in a bowl. I hate doing dishes so I avoid it as much as I can. I thought about just letting him eat it out of the package. Then I remembered the banana incident that some of you might remember. I thought it would be way too messy even if I were to feed it to him so I opted for the bowl. So if you were to take it on the road or to a restaurant I recommend bringing a bowl.

There are many different unique flavor combinations that you probably wouldn’t think of like sweet baby carrots, apples and mango also roasted bananas and rice.
The appearance of the Sprout Baby baby food was vibrant colors. I really liked how it wasn’t really runny. Runny baby food is such a mess. So the consistency was great. As for the taste, Noah really liked the Sprout Foods baby food. He would say mmm tastes good. His favorite was the Roasted Banana and Rice. So, it was a hit with our family.

Thank you to Sprout Baby for the opportunity to try some Sprout Foods baby food.

Fairytale Brownies Review and Giveaway!!

Fairytale Brownies is a gourmet brownie company. They are enchanting brownies with magical flavors. It all started back in kindergarten when Eileen Spitalny and David Kravetz met on the playground and they became friends. David and Eileen decided at an early age that they wanted to share their love of chocolate and brownies with the world. I imagine them playing on the playground while the other kids are making mud pies; David and Eileen were making “brownies”.

In 1992 Fairytale Brownies was born. It all started with two bright eyed kids with a dream and David’s mother’s 50 year old brownie recipe. They started making their divine brownies in a friend’s catering kitchen. Since then they have moved in to a new 26,000-square-foot facility to accommodate the great success of their company.

They now oversee there direct mail order gourmet brownie business. The kitchen might have changed but the basic brownie recipe is still the same. They bake over 2.5 MILLION brownies every year. Fairytale Brownies are made with Belgian chocolate and the finest ingredients. They are all natural and certified Kosher too!

There are 12 flavors of Fairytale Brownies and they come in three different sizes. Fairytale Brownies are 3”x3”. Fairytale Sprites are 3”x1.5”. Both are available in all 12 flavors. The Magic Morsels are 1.5”x1.5” come in 5 flavors including a sugar free Original. The company also makes Fairytale Truffles in 3 different flavors.

I first heard about Fairytale Brownies on Unwrapped which is on the Food Network. I instantly wanted to taste them. I tried to imagine how great they tasted but I couldn't imagine exactly how good they were. So when I had the opportunity to actually try them I was very excited. Fairytale Brownies are so delicious. One bite and you are swept away in to a fairytale. I had to eat them slowly so I could savor every bit. These are without a doubt the best brownies I have ever tasted. I am having trouble putting my feelings about them in words because I do not think a word has been invented yet to describe how truly good Fairytale Brownies really are.

My son loves them as well. He rubbed his little tummy and said Delicious! He kept asking me for some more brownies. I am getting so hungry even thinking about it. I am glad I still have one in my fridge. If I had to pick a favorite flavor I would have to choose the Mint Chocolate. I just love that combination. It reminds me of when I was younger and the special bars my mom and I make at Christmas time. All of the flavors of brownies are wonderful. I have told everyone I can about Fairytale Brownies. I have full confidence that you will love them as much as I do!

You can order them online here and they are available in select retail locations. Check out the website for more information.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to Fairytale Brownies for giving me the opportunity to try your scrumptious gourmet brownies.

Aloha Friday

I know I have been seriously lacking on this meme.

My friend Kailani has a wonderful Friday meme called Aloha Fridays.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

I have been watching LA Ink. I started watching it back in 2008 occasionally but now I have been watching it every week the past couple months or so. I love listening to the stories behind the tattoos. It has made me respect them more. Although I still can't understand a lot of tattoos that people get like tweety bird and other iconic tattoos. I just think when you are 80 you are going to regret getting that tattoo of a devil on your hiney. No, I don't know anyone with a devil tattooed on their hiney.

So my question this week is... If you were to get a tattoo what would you get and why?

I would personally probably NEVER get one. It is way too permanent to me. If I were to get one I would get my Grandma Rose's senior picture in black and white with the words "I love you more" under it. As some of you know my grandma Rose has always meant the world to me and she always will. I have a feeling she wouldn't like it because I don't think she likes tattoos. My cousin has a really cool portrait of his dad on his arm with El Diablo under it. It's gorgeous work. So what about you?

My exclusive interview with Doug Savant

This morning I had the opportunity to have an exclusive phone interview with Doug Savant. Doug plays Tom Scavo on Desperate Housewives. I happen to love Desperate Housewives I watch it every day on Lifetime and also on ABC on Sundays. I have seen the first 4 seasons multiple times because Lifetime keeps playing them. Doug was also a guest star on NCIS as priest. Desperate Housewives is one of those shows that just pull you right in and captivates you. Each season has a mystery story line and so far the mysteries have been getting better and better.

I was really nervous at the beginning but Doug put me right to ease. He is so down to earth and friendly. He made me feel like we were old friends catching up on what is new with our lives. It was weird when he was first on the line cause I knew it was him from watching the show so much and not Dr. Oz.

Doug is very nice and I really enjoyed talking to him. He told me about a new book that he is involved in. The makers of Listerine co-developed a really cute book of illustrations with humorous captions. The book is called 36 and ½ Reasons To Laugh A Slice of Life. It is written by Rick Adams and illustrated by Chuck Gonzales. This book helps you remember to laugh at those funny moments in your life. After all they say Laughter is the best medicine.

For every book produced, Listerine made a generous donation to The National Children’s Oral Health Foundation’s program called America’s Toothfairy to help low income families get dental care for their children. There a millions of children that have toothaches and that prevent them from eating properly. Some families just can’t afford dental care and it tends to be something that gets forgotten.

The book is excellent. Every page has made me laugh. It would be a great coffee table book for your guests to pick up and look at. It would definitely be a conversation starter. I hope you all will check it out and help those children have a healthy Smile. For more information please visit Listerine's website

Of course we talked about Desperate Housewives as well. I got some inside information. He didn’t tell me who Mike is marrying but he did say I would find out within the first few minutes of the first show of the new season. The new season of Desperate Housewives starts Sunday September 27th at 9 pm ET. I also asked him about Dave and if he is coming back this season. He said that Dave hasn’t reared his ugly head on the show yet but you never know with Desperate Housewives. Dave was really creepy.

I asked him about working with the ladies. He told me that everyone thinks there is a lot of drama behind the scenes on the set but it is not like that at all. He talked about working with Felicity Huffman and how they have great chemistry together. He said that he has a great off screen wife and a great onscreen wife as well. Doug said that he can’t wait to go to work and that he loves his job. He talked about how much fun he has on the set with his co-workers as well.

We talked about his life and his 4 kids and his wife. I asked him if he would ever become a stay at home dad like on the show and he said that he and his wife are both actors and he already does everything a stay at home dad or mom would do . I thought that was wonderful that he makes time for his family even with his busy schedule.

Doug was interested in me as well. I thought that the interview was going to be about him and the book and the show but that wasn’t the case. He asked me questions about my blog and my life. I told him about where I am from and about my son Noah. We talked about what I like to write about and what products I found that are especially good. I told him about Fairytale Brownies because they are so delicious. Look for my review of Fairytale Brownies shortly and a giveaway too. Maybe he’ll enter lol.

He asked me if I am a Colts fan and I didn’t hear what he said so I said a who fan. He told me he likes the Colts too and how much he likes Peyton Manning. Neither of us knows who the Colts are playing Sunday though. Doug is very funny and interesting and I couldn’t ask for a better guy to talk to.

So Thanks Doug for the chance to talk to you and for taking time out of your busy day to talk to me. I hope we can talk again sometime.

What's happenin' in September on Sprout?

We love PBS Sprout. Noah and I watch Sprout all the time. We enjoy the programs that are on and we also watch Sprout On Demand. I wanted to share with you first of all how wonderful and educational all of the programming is. There are shows like Caillou, Sesame Street and Barney to name a few. I know that when Sprout is on that I have complete confidence that there will be mom and kid approved content. The shows are very entertaining and Noah has learned a lot from his Sprout friends.

Sprout has launched an exclusive contest on their Facebook page asks viewers to submit a photo of their best Wiggly face. The winners will be chosen by user votes. There will be weekly prizes of a Flip Video camera . The grand prize is a Nintendo Wii and a Wiggles autographed shirt! How cool is that? I can’t wait to check out all the Wiggly Faces!

Noah loves the Good Night Show. The Good Night Show is on every evening starting at 6 pm ET. It stars Nina and Star. They also have a friend named Lucy who is a firefly. Each show has a theme with episodes of Sprout shows that are based on the theme. Nina also does an evening stretch that Noah loves to do. They sing songs and do a craft as well. It is a great way to wind down after a busy day and it keeps Noah entertained while I make dinner.

There will be a new season of the Good Night Show starting September 21st . The new season of The Good Night Show will also feature a new show called the Rubbadubbers. In celebration of the all new fun shows Nina will be joining Chica in the Sunshine barn for a Pajama Party! Noah and I decided we were going to celebrate right along with them and have a pajama party as well. It will be a lot of fun.

All children should have comfortable pajamas to sleep in. Unfortunately not every child has them. The wonderful people at Sprout have realized this and have teamed up with The Pajama Program for the Great Sprout Tuck in. The Pajama Program is a charity that helps children get comfortable pajamas and books to read.

Noah loves to wear pajamas. He will ask me for some jammies to wear sometimes even in the daytime. He has a pair of fire truck pajamas that he loves and asks to wear often. My heart sinks every time he asks to wear them now because he has out grown them! Not to mention they are more Winter pajamas. I think that every child should have a favorite pair of pajamas. Not only to keep them warm at night but for the comfort.

One of Noah’s favorite things is to look at books and have me read to him and tell him stories. Children who are read to when they are younger tend to have a greater love of reading as they get older. Some children don’t even have any books to read or look at. You can help! Here’s the deal… You can purchase NEW pajamas and NEW books and send them to PBS Sprout and then they will help give them to children in need. They will also match every single donation. They request that the items be new. They need all sizes of pajamas and all sorts of children’s books.

They need your help. They have almost reached their goal of helping 75,000 kids with new books and pajamas. Wouldn’t it be great to help them surpass their goal? The Great Sprout Tuck in is trying to hit their goal of 75,000 by Oct. 1st. Please help these children have a Good Night.

If you don’t get Sprout call your cable company or 1-866-9-Sprout and say Sprout Please!

Country Bob's Review

Ever heard of Country Bob’s? It’s not a country song or a little general store. It is a brand of the most delicious All purpose sauce. I started enjoying Country Bob’s back in 2003 after I was introduced to it by someone I knew. He had been enjoying it much longer. It was an instant hit with me. I have never been too big on steak sauce but I love Country Bob’s all purpose sauce.Look for Country Bob's All purpose sauce at your local grocery stores! When I was pregnant I drank it straight from the bottle. True story.

Something else that I really like about Country Bob’s; it is a Christian based company. It is really refreshing that there is a company out there that is not only making great products but are serving the Lord while doing it. It is awesome to see a company with such great wholesome values.

Country Bob’s has other products besides the all purpose sauce. They also have seasoning salt, BBQ sauce, and for those brave folks a spicy all purpose sauce. There are all kinds of delicious recipes on their website. When I look through the recipes my mouth waters.

Country Bob’s was created by Country Bob Edison in 1968. After giving his sauce to friends and family for quite a few years he began to sell it in 1977. Country Bob’s Inc wasn’t actually a company until 1982. Where Bob and a few friends went in to business with equal ownership as it remains to this day. Those who try Country Bob’s all purpose sauce become live long users. Just ask me I have been using it for 6 years now. Country Bob’s has grown so much since it was created in 1968.

They have not forgotten the where they came from and the excellence of a quality product. If you were to ask them where the credit for Country Bob’s was due they would say the Lord. The Lord is their CEO and the whole success of the company is and always will be in the hands of the Lord.

I had the opportunity to try some of the Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt. I love seasoning salt. Some people think that all seasoning salts are the same. In my opinion they are not. I can tell the difference between good quality seasoning salt and not so great ones. Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt is so delicious. It comes in a big bottle so you will get a lot for your money and you can indulge in whatever amount suits your taste. It is full of flavor. It provides just the right blend of seasonings together for a taste that the whole family will enjoy. It’s a quick, easy way to change food from ordinary to special.

Thank you to Country Bob’s for the opportunity to sample some Country Bob’s seasoning salt.

WAT-AAH Review and Giveaway

I had the opportunity to try all four types of Wat-aah. What is Wat-aah? It is water that has an extra boost to it. What is the boost? It’s NOT sugar, it’s not flavoring, and it’s not color. It is NURTIENTS! If your child is anything like mine, he loves sugar. It is all about cookies, candy and cupcakes for him. Of course he doesn’t get those things very often but it doesn’t stop him from asking for them. Thankfully he is too young for soda so I don’t have to fight that battle yet. In all reality Noah eats pretty healthy. I keep his junk food to a minimum and I try and give him stuff that he likes that is healthy.

So I bet you are wondering what kinds of nutrients are in Wat-aah. There are four varieties. All four varieties are made with Ultra pure water and none of them contain any sugar!

• Brain which contains electrolytes that helps with keeping your child extra hydrated

• Bones which contains magnesium for strong healthy bones

• Body which is just ultra pure spring water

• Energy which contains oxygen for extra energy

Wat-ahh was created when a group of women got together that were all wondering. Why won’t kids drink more water? They decided that it needed an extreme makeover water edition. So they thought we should change its name. They decided Wat-aah sounded like a great name. To me it sounds like Tarzan yelling. Tarzan is still cool right? Then they thought the bottle needed a new look something hip and exciting. They decided on neon letters and a goofy little face for the new label. They all decided that it needed something extra. Something to make it different and extra healthy. Being the clever women they are they decided to add extra nutrients. They used their kids as their own research and development team and Volia! Wat-aah was born.

I received a package of all four Wat-aah types. We also got assortment of stickers and tattoos. Noah has recently gotten in to temporary tattoos and he has always loved stickers. The Wat-aah was really refreshing and tasted great. Noah loves it. He kept asking for more Wat-aah. It felt good knowing I was giving him something healthy and fun to drink.

Thank you Wat-aah for the chance to try all four varieties.

I have a Wat-aah prize pack to give away to one of my lovely readers.

MrsDesigns Etsy store!

Do you like homemade purses and other items? I do. I can’t sew. If I try it looks like a four year old made it seriously. Now through the wonders of the internet you can have people make you things with out having to leave your home.

My friend Melody of MrsDesigns loves to sew and make really cute things. I think she started out by making baby bonnets for her daughter. She now makes all kinds of really cool handmade items. She makes little card holders called cash and card foldies.

She is a really good friend of mine and I have admired her stuff and her skills for over a year now. She began just as a hobby sewer and to make clothing for her kids. After all sorts of positive feedback she decided to start a business. She has an Etsy store where you can find her creations for sale. Everything is really inexpensive and very well made. There are all kinds of bargains on her site.

My personal favorite is the Brown Corduroy Pleated Purse. It is only 12 dollars and so adorable! It also comes with a matching homemade wallet. Another item she makes is bread sacks. They are really interesting and so unique. I hate going to the store and coming home and finding my bread smashed in. Some baggers don’t really know that you don’t put heavy things on top of a loaf of bread. You can also use the bread sacks as a wine bag or for a carton of eggs. They are a definitely something you should have.

Melody will also make custom things. She can make all sorts of adorable creations, just ask. If you want something custom made but not sure what visit her blog for ideas and samples of items she has made. She is truly a pleasure to know. She sent me a Hobo bag with a matching cash and card foldie. I love them both. They are so beautiful . She also shipped it really fast. It didn’t take long to get here at all. We were both surprised how quickly I received it.

If you want homemade, great quality products that are a total bargain go visit MRS Designs Etsy shop! Go pick up some really cute stuff today!

Eau Flirt Review and Giveaway

Ladies... this is a secret post that you can not let men read. You must wait until a football game is on to read this or until they are out fixing something. What I am going to discuss is just between us girls. There is a perfume called Eau Flirt. It is made by the same people that make Ageless, Harvey Prince. Eau Flirt is a new perfume that is proven to make men flirt with you. It is a wickedly irresistible fragrance. Heads will turn with just one whiff of this subtle, yet sexy scent.

How does Eau Flirt work? The scent sends eloquent messages through the nose to the brain and to body. But can it really rule in the realm of attraction? Yes, if it contains certainpassion-provoking ingredients, say the makers of a new fragrance that does the flirting for you. Eau Flirt was inspired by a study done by
Drs, Alan Hirsch and Jason Gruss of the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation. Investigating the impact of 30 different ambient scents or scent mixes. The researchers found that a combination of lavender and pumpkin pie stirred up the most passion.

What does it smell like? It smells incredibly good. Eau Flirt contains sweet and fruity top notes, floral and spicy middle notes, woods and musk bottom notes, combined with vanilla and pumpkin essences for a bewitching potion of desire. It is not tested on animals. It is also Allergy tested, and contains no artificial colorings. Ingredients are all natural flower and plant essences and sourced from France, Italy and the U.S.

I love the smell of Eau Flirt. The bottle and packaging are great too. The package is quite trendy with a flirty girl on the box. They keep the secret of what is inside. The perfume is a pretty green color and green is my favorite color so I thought that was cool. This perfume will definitely get you noticed by your sweetie or that guy you have been eying.

So if you wanna turn heads you should get some Eau Flirt perfume. Use it sparingly because it is quite powerful stuff. I don’t mean the scent but the power it has.

To find a retailer or purchase directly, please visit, and specialty stores/high end perfumeries nationwide. It comes in a few different sizes. Prices are as follows $98 for 3.4 oz. eau de toilette spray,1.7 oz $66, and 1 oz. purse size $36. Mini roll-ons are $19.

Ageless Review and Giveaway

Some people underestimate the power of scent. There is so much more than good smells and bad smells. There are certain scents that make you feel certain ways. Food scents can make you hungry. Certain scents can trigger memories of people and places. What about a scent that makes you feel younger? One that makes people think you are younger than you are?

There is a perfume called Ageless. It is made by Harvey Prince. This perfume is formulated to make you smell younger. I am sure some of you are thinking…. There is no way! How can a perfume make you seem younger than your age? Well there is. Ageless was engineered to make you smell younger. This is the only product on the market like this. The research proves that men around women who used the perfume thought they were on an average 8 years younger!

What is Ageless? It is a blend of pink grapefruit, mango, anti-oxidant rich pomegranate, jasmine and musk that creates an essence of youth. The idea of Ageless came from how certain scents were supposed to do different things. Green Apple scent is said to cure headaches. Lavender is a calming scent, while citrus is an exciting scent. Rose scented perfumes are known as an old lady scent so it must work the other way as well and there must be a young lady scent.

That is when the research started. Research has shown that men associate tropical fruits and pink grapefruit scents with "younger women". Ageless is truly a bouquet of youth. Women will be energized and Men will be reminded of when they were dating them. Ageless by Harvey Prince has one of the most rejuvenating openings of any perfume in the market.

Ageless smells really good. I tend to be picky about what perfumes I will wear. Ageless is great. It is a mixture of Tropical notes bring a more youthful impression while indulgent, creamy florals - jasmine and cherry blossom appeal to the modern woman. Musk, dry woods and vanilla combine for an earthy, natural fragrance. Organic citrus natural compounds create a rich, sophisticated & energizing scent. The Tropical blend is supposed to trigger happy childhood memories and feelings of comfort that will give you that sense of coziness, youth and happiness. Ageless is a light smelling perfume that is not overwhelming. It is a fun scent. I really enjoy wearing it. So by pass plastic surgery and needles and get a bottle of Ageless!

For $98.00 a bottle its a lot cheaper than botox and much safer!

Thank you to Ageless and Harvey Prince for the opportunity to try Ageless.

Good Luck Everyone!

Label me this....Label me that

Noah has a tendency to lose his stuff. He will accidentally leave it at my sister’s house almost every time he goes over there. I joke with my sister and say she purposely takes Noah’s stuff. I was delighted to be given the opportunity to try out Mabel’s Labels. Mabel’s Labels are adorable personalized labels.

Mabel’s Labels are colorful fun labels for your kid’s things. They come in a variety of colors and there are many icons you can choose from. There are different types of labels as well. They have clothing labels that are safe for the washer and dryer. Since they stick you don’t have to sew them in to the clothing!

There is also labels that are safe for the top rack of your dishwasher to label sippy cups, bottles, bowls and spoons. That would be great for daycare or the babysitter. The daycare teachers will love these.

Maybe your children are members of a play group or in scouts, Mabel’s Labels has shoe labels too! No more trying to figure out whose shoes are whose. Those would be great for children that play sports because they all have the same shoes. You put a protective top label on the top of it in case you were wondering about all the wear and tear from your feet.

Julie Cole had the brilliant idea for Mabel’s Labels after years of chasing her children’s belongings at daycare, school and friends’ houses. She got together with three of her female family members and Mabel’s Labels were born! Mabel’s Labels is a Canada based company that will gladly ship anywhere you can stick a label to something. They also make Allergy Alert Labels, Personalized Stationary, iron on labels for your tagless clothing and ID bracelets to name a few of the products. All items are created in house at Mabel’s Labels headquarters in Hamilton Ontario.

Many celebrity parents use Mabel’s Labels. They are a big hit with famous moms and dads. I can understand why because they are absolutely adorable. A few of Mabel’s Labels A listers are Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Kevin Costner. Mabel’s Labels have been featured on shows like The View, the Early Show and Canada AM. They also have been featured in magazines such as Parents Magazine, Today’s Parent, The Washington Post, Newsday and many other regional parenting publications. Mabel’s Labels has also won awards like the 2007 SavyMom “Momupreneur of the year” award, and Best product Awards from Baby Gizmo and iparenting Media.

Noah got the Ultimate Back to School Combo and his labels are the Naturals colors. He also got a fire truck image on them as well. He loves them. Noah can recognize his own name. So it is really extra special for him. He loves to spell his name for me. Every time he sees one of his labels he will say Fire truck and most of the time he will say N-O-A-H that spells Noah! The labels are extremely durable. My personal favorite is the new Teeny Tags because they are so cute. They look like little dog tags. We love Mabel’s Labels and we are having lots of fun labeling Noah’s things.

The Ultimate Back to School combo is on sale now. It contains 50 Tag-Mates, 40 Skinny-Minis, 16 Shoe Labels, 2 NEW Teeny Tags. It is only available until September 25th 2009. So hurry! It costs 39 dollars USD.

Boogie Wipes Review

Kids get sick….Its a fact of life. They get runny noses and stuffy ones. You reach for the nearest tissue or toilet paper. Tissues and toilet paper are more trouble than they are helpers. Your child’s nose gets sore, even with the ones that claim to make your nose not hurt. Not to mention they aren’t very good at cleanly wiping the sticky mess your child’s nose makes. Well drop the tissue and try out these. They are called Boogie Wipes.

Boogie Wipes are Saline wipes that make nose blowing a breeze! Boogie Wipes helps break up the mucous. Boogie Wipes were created by two mothers that were sick of chasing runny noses. Boogie wipes are Alcohol Free! They are also Phthalate & Paraben Free. They are made with Natural Saline to Dissolve Mucus. They are Hypoallergenic, so that means they are safe for all ages.

These wipes will actually moisturize your nostrils with Vitamin E, Aloe and Chamomile. Did you know the number one reason for nose bleeds is dried cracked nasal passages? That is another reason to use Boogie Wipes. They come in three fun scents. They are Grape, Fresh Scent and Magic Menthol. Magic Menthol is for those extra stuffy noses. Kids love the smell of them which is important because they are for your nose so a great scent is a must.

Noah has a cold right now. He doesn’t get sick very often but I was armed with Boogie Wipes to wipe his nose. Noah will not only wipe his own nose but he will actually ask to wipe his nose. He would of never asked to wipe his nose with a tissue, in fact it was a real battle and upsetting for both of us when he would use a normal tissue. Boogie Wipes are extremely soft and they are scented. Our favorite is the Grape! I tried one out just to see what it was like and it felt cool and refreshing. It felt so clean as well.

I told my mom about Boogie Wipes and I thought that she should get some for her students. She teaches children with physical and mental challenges so some of them don’t have the motor skills to wipe their own noses. Wiping their noses will be easier for her because Boogie Wipes are so thick and have saline in them so it is less mess than tissue. I think that anyone with a nose should have Boogie Wipes because they aren’t just for kids. They are for those who are kids at heart too!

Boogie Wipes come in packages of 40 wipes or individually wrapped wipes. The single serve wipes are great to keep in your car or your purse for those times when you need them on the go. Just think no more rough fast food napkins used as a tissue. We all have them in our glove boxes for that purpose. No more smashed boxes of tissues that get lost under your car seat. Colds will still be miserable but Boogie Wipes will help pamper your nose.

Thank you to Boogie Wipes for giving me the opportunity to try out some Boogie Wipes.

You can find Boogie Wipes at a variety of stores. Go Here to find a location near you. If there isn’t one have no fear you can order them online. They retail about $3.99 a pack and the individual wipes are $2.99 for a pack of 10.

If you sign up for The Boogie Bunch you can also get a coupon for $1.00 off.
For more information please visit Boogie Wipes
So what are you waiting for? Go get some today. Your nose will Thank You later.

U-G-L-Y you aint got no alibi

you ugly yeah yeah you UGLY!

I turned 28 on August 29th. My best friend Rene asked me for my mailing address. I of course gave it to her. I thought maybe she was sending me a card. So I got the mail today and I saw that I had an envelope from her in the stack of mail. I was very curious to see what she sent because I love getting mail, especially from a sweetheart like Rene. So I opened it and was like what is this and I looked at it and it was the most ugliest wallpaper in the world.

I have seen ugly wall paper in my day usually in bathrooms and random people’s homes. Not going to single anyone out but man I have seen ugly. This isn’t ugly it is hideous! This is the wallpaper that has been hanging at her work for like over 16 years. She worked there before and it was hanging then and then she moved to South Carolina and it is still hanging today.

I went with her to work one night when I was visiting her and it was quite scary. We talk about how they are really alive and they are doing weird things in the store kind of like in the movie The Witches where the Grand High Witch puts the little girl in the painting and she moved around and grew old and one day she just disappeared.

I love the little gift she sent me. I think I scared my son though cause I was laughing so hard that I couldn’t stop. It really made my week. So Thanks Rene! I love you! Here is a picture of the wall paper and all it’s glory!

One of my secret loves is TARTS!

Tarts are one of my favorite things. Some of you might be wondering what a tart is. No it’s not sweet tarts although the chewy ones are really good. It’s also not a little pastry. It is scented wax. You put it on top of a tart burner and then you put a tea light in the bottom lit of course. It melts and scent is distributed in to the air. Yes it is kind of like a candle. It serves the same purpose. I love candles as well. Tarts are cool because you can change the scent when ever you want. They are a lot cheaper than candles but of course you get less burning time.

Yankee Candle says you get 8 hours of burning time but I feel like I get about 12. When the scent is weak you can blow it out and let it harden. Pop it in the freezer for about 15 minutes or so and the tart will come out really easily. Note that it doesn’t work very well with soy tarts. I got a small package of soy tarts last year at the Car Auction. Good thing I have three tart burners.

You can then take the harden wax and stick it in your underwear or sock drawer for a great smelling freshener. How’s that for recycling? I love everything Yankee Candle from the tarts to the Jar candles to the linen spray. They don’t make that anymore. Yankee Candle if you are reading I want them to bring it back! Oh and please stop retiring my mom’s favorite scents. If you want to you should totally email everyone on the email list and send a note in the catalog so the people that love them can stock up. That would be a great idea. Since the scent lasts forever it would be a great idea not only for sales but to make the customer happy!

I went to the flagship store in Williamsburg VA which was a paradise of any Yankee Candle lover. It was huge and it had a holiday land and little shops inside it. My son lost his favorite orange pacifier in there. I found it by the tarts. We spent like 2 hours in there and made a special trip on the way home from Virginia Beach. They have other flagship stores as well. I will return again someday.

My favorite Yankee Candle scent is Macintosh. It smells so good. I have fond memories of my mom burning it when I was younger. It was also a candle given to my Grandma Rose as well. It just smells so crisp and nice. I like Country Linen and Vanilla cupcake as well. I like most of the scents a lot but Macintosh will always be my favorite.
I have a nice collection of tarts from Yankee Candle. I have a good assortment of scents. I love them all . I have 66 of them. That is a quite a bit. Tarts are a great way to try new scents. OK sure you could buy votive candles but they can be messy. You could burn a votive without a holder but then you get melted wax every where or you could burn it in a little holder but it doesn’t come out too well. So, tarts are the best way to go for sampling scents or if you like different ones like me.
They would be a great gift. Go to Bed Bath and Beyond and get a tart burner for 5 dollars and some tarts and some tea lights. For those of you that aren’t candle savy they are the ones in the little metal holders. Guys don’t think tarts are a female thing, My old best friends dad would burn them in his office all the time. He was a Marine and far from girly.
So check them out! Your house will smell great!

Simply Salads Review

Imagine yourself in the grocery store and you find an amazing deal on prepackaged salad mixes. You want to get some but you know there is only a few different ways to prepare salads with the mixes. Maybe you need to eat more salads because you have a health reasons or you lose weight . You just want to eat healthier or you just simply love salads. Well I have the solution for you! There is a cookbook called Simply Salads! It is more than 100 delicious recipes made from prepackaged greens and a few easy to find ingredients, many which are already in your kitchen.

Some people love to eat salads at restaurants but at 9 dollars a salad it can become very expensive very fast. Simply Salads is book that will tantalize your taste buds . It is written by Jennifer Chandler. The salad recipes are like those that you would get at a restaurant for a fraction of the price. Each salad starts with a time saving bag of prewashed precut greens. The salad serves at least 4 people either an appetizer or entrée. Each recipe includes an easy make of homemade dressing too!

When you think of a home prepared salad I am sure you think of a head of lettuce and some carrots, some onions, some tomatoes and a handful of croutons. The salad dressing would be some oil and vinegar with some dry processed spice packet. These recipes are not like that at all. They are inventive and very creative. You can have a gourmet salad in minutes. It would be a great way to use up leftovers in a new way.

The book is well organized by food types. There are little tips and hints through out the book too. Some of the tips are where you can find a certain ingredient or how to skin hazelnuts.

Chapter 1: Salad blends 101 includes recipes with arugula and baby spinach and other hearty greens. Some of the highlights are Arugula with Shaved Parmesan with a white balsamic vinaigrette dressing and Grilled Romaine with green goddess dressing.

Chapter 2: Poultry features recipes using chicken and turkey. Some of the highlights are Chinese Chicken Salad with peanut dressing. There is a recipe for Chicken Tostada salad which is served on top of a tortilla!

Chapter 3: Meat with recipes using steak, hamburger, pork and other meats. Some of the highlights are Thai Beef Salad with a Thai inspired dressing and marinade. Do you love BBQ? There is a recipe for you! It is a BBQ Pulled Pork salad with BBQ Ranch Dressing!

Chapter 4: Seafood with recipes using salmon, tuna, scallops, shrimp and other seafood. Some of the highlights are Lobster Salad with grapefruit vinaigrette. There is also a recipe for Maryland crab cake salad with caper remoulade. That would be a great lunch after a dinner party the night before where you served Crab cakes! You could even use the crab cake recipe to eat by its self!

Chapter 5 : Vegetables which would be any Vegetarian's dream! Some of the highlights are Greek Salad with Greek vinaigrette. Do you love mushrooms? Check out the Warm Wild Mushroom Salad with Sherry vinaigrette.

Chapter 6: Fruit. Who says a salad has to be just vegetables and meat? There is so much more that you can do with fruit in salads besides Waldorf Salad. Some of the highlights are Watermelon and Arugula Salad with a vinaigrette dressing. I would of never thought to put watermelon in a salad. The Grapefruit and Avocado salad is great by it’s self or you could even add some grilled shrimp for a tropical delight.

Chapter 7 : Beans Grains Rice and Pasta all of which are things you tend to make too much of when you are making a meal. Almost every time I make a pasta dish there is always a portion of pasta that doesn’t get eaten. So have no fear you can use the leftover pasta, beans, rice and grains in scrumptious salads. Some of the highlights are Green pea Salad which is made in a yogurt sauce. Another highlight is the Cheese Tortellini Salad with a sun dried tomato vinaigrette.

Chapter 8 : These slaw recipes are jazzed up with lots of personality. I went to the store the other day because we were having pulled pork for dinner and I wanted to get some slaw to go with it. I went to the deli and they wanted 4 or 5 dollars for a small container of slaw. I thought that was crazy. With this cookbook you could make your own dressed up slaw the way you like it! Some of the highlights are Honey-Lime Corn Slaw with a Honey Lime Vinaigrette. This would be great to use up some of the corn on the cob that you got at the local farmers market. There is a recipe for Mandarin Orange Slaw with a Mandarin Orange Dressing. (Since I love Mandarin Oranges this one really appeals to me)

Chapter 9: Vinaigrettes and dressings are in this chapter. There are many basic dressing and vinaigrette recipes. Some of the recipes call for the same dressing so there is a go to chapter for all of those. Some of the highlights are the Garlic Vinaigrette which is for all the garlic lovers out there like me. Is your favorite salad dressing Thousand Island? There is a recipe in this book for you. You could use the dressing recipes to make your own fresh dressings for those times you just want plain salad too!

The pictures in Simply Salads are mouth watering. Every recipe has a picture in the book. There is definitely something for everyone in this cookbook. You can eat salad and not feel like you are on a diet! Salad mix suggestions are provided but you could switch it for a mix that you prefer. This book would be perfect for your next dinner party. The recipes have the dazzle factor; anyone would be impressed to be served one of these salads.

Simply Salads costs $24.99 and is available at fine bookstores nationwide and Amazon.

God Bless Tylenol!

Noah has a cold. He doesn’t get sick very often as he is pretty healthy. I am extremely happy about that. He has had the sniffles and a runny nose. He has been sneezing and coughing as well. I know that the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) says not to give children under 6 cough or cold medicines. So of course I would not do that.

Noah has a fever of 101.5 tonight. I gave him some dye free cherry Children’s Tylenol. That he thinks is absolutely delicious. It is hidden on a high shelf in the hall linen closet right next to the baby powder. Well at least I don’t have to fight him to take it. I am happy to report that his fever has gone down already. It is still kind of high but it is an improvement.

I started thinking about how Tylenol has been a great thing to have in my home and all the times I have given it to Noah. It was there when he got his shots almost every time. It helped take the pain away and reduce the fever from the DTAP vaccine. It was there when Noah was cutting his little teeth. It was there when he has been sick. It is really nice to have a product that has been around for forever and you can rely on in your times of pain and fevers.

I remember the taste of chewable Children’s Tylenol. I used to have a pill issue where I couldn’t swallow pills so I would just take the Children's Tylenol chewables. It got to the point when I got to be a certain age and I was taking so many of them just to make a dose. Then I learned about sticking them in apple sauce. Works like a charm. Heck that is how I got my prenatals down sometimes when I was pregnant with Noah.

I used to get really bad car sickness. Whenever we would drive home from North Carolina when I was young my mom would always give me a car sickness pill in a spoon of peanut butter. Please, please don’t do it. It traumatized me. Well not really but it is not a good suggestion in my opinion.

God Bless Tylenol!!
I really am glad that Tylenol is such a trust worthy caring company.
Thanks Tylenol!
